(Luv the Buzz - Media) Our insiders are telling us that BET could care less about Keyshia Cole, Trina, Lil Kim and other artists who were upset they were left out of the nominations. Our sources say BET is worried about bringing in viewers for its top rated awards show and some stars bring in more viewers than others.
Some were shocked when Beyonce was nominated for Best Female Artists after not having released a new single until April of this year. Executives at BET know they have to nominate certain artists to get them to perform so they would be taking a gamble our source says if they didn't nominate an artist like Lil' Wayne or Chris Brown in comparison to someone else. BET is not trying to take any chances these days with their #1 program and want to make sure the A-list talent is at the door to drive viewers up.
